How Much Does Golf Management School Cost?
What is the cost for an associate's degree from any one of the golf universities or colleges (accredited)? Is there an opportunity for me to open doors to a golf career that can last a lifetime?
The cost varies depending upon type of program, location, and other factors. For your investment you get an education in courses of business management, communication, marketing, accounting, and other golf related subjects — and golf hands-on experience (instructions and playing). With most all of the Golf Universities and colleges no tuition surprises and usually one price includes all benefits, education and golf experience.
Most all colleges are accredited thus; you are able to further your education through the economic and financial struggles… You the old saying “when the economy is down get educated” and for traditional students as well as non-traditional (returning students) or those seeking an alternate career in the golf industry the golf industry holes many avenues. When you research these common golf education websites you will find that most offer financial aid support and or a clear path from your pocket to theirs. Keeping this in mind let’s look at the requirements for furthering your career in the golf industry at most accredited colleges, universities and private institutions;
- Textbooks: may or may not be included in some schools tuition (ask the question.)
- Instructional Clinics: Instructional clinics from short game, putting and full-swing and driver are held throughout most semesters. Most faculty and staff at these institutions will seek opportunities to help improve your game.
- Classes: you will receive somewhere in the range of 71 credit hours of instruction from; Art, business, agronomy, data processing English (yes English), science, physical education and finally golf Management, to state a few.
- Private Lessons: Private golf lessons are available by appointment and are included in your tuition with the professional coaching and teaching staffs. This individualized attention will prepare students for future success with their golf game and helps them develop a teaching method that is comfortable for them.
As mentioned above the cost for a golf education varies. Some Institutions will assist you in finding employment while attending classes. Be sure to visit and ask the questions you need answered.
At most all of these institutions the admissions process is easy and comfortable for you. Admissions counselors are available to answer any of your questions, guide you through the applications process, as well as set up a campus visit while you decide if their College of Golf is the right choice for you. When it comes time to apply to your selected institution the most extreme process we have found is the following, but not required for all: Verification of high school graduation or GED completion; An official high school transcript must be sent directly from the graduate's high school/school district or official GED scores sent directly from the appropriate GED testing center or records center; An entrance exam is required if you do not have the results of a Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing exam (ACT). If either one is available, the required scores are either a combined score of 1430 on the SAT or a composite score of 17 on the ACT. These numbers may vary from school to school.
