Whether you’re looking for a career in golf to improve your golfing skills or to foster relationships within your current career, the National University Golf Academy provides you the opportunity to develop your professional, academic and playing abilities.
The Golf Academy, located in the heart of the San Diego golf community, is an innovative golf education program that combines academics with golf at the high school, associate’s and bachelor’s levels. The Golf Academy is under the direction of professional golfer and Dean Dr. Mac Powell and offers two professional golf management certificate programs, an associate’s degree with a concentration in Professional Golf Management, and a bachelor’s degree in Sport Psychology.
In partnership with the Golf Academy, National University Virtual High School takes high school golf to a new level by offering an introductory golf-focused curriculum to its students and is the provider of golf school coursework for high school students who wish to pursue credit toward graduation.

National University Golf Academy utilizes the latest technology and the best educators in the industry to provide onsite and online learning to students across the globe. Students can upload swing from golf courses in Japan, Korea or anywhere across the U.S. or globe and receive instruction from instructors in our online swing laboratory.
Our unique golf school provides golf education and golf instruction at multiple levels including high school and associate's and bachelor’s degree levels. The Academy also offers certificate programs for non-degree seekers; summer, winter and weekend programs; and corporate and community clinics.
While each academic program includes an online component that allows students from around the globe to pursue their certificate or degree, students have the option of traveling to San Diego for the on-course and instructional components of their programs.
On-Course or Online, You Decide
The National University Golf Academy offers your choice of an on-course and online hybrid golf program or a 100% online option if you are unable to travel to San Diego golf courses for the on-course component of your golf education. All of the degree programs offered by the Golf Academy are available 100% online.
